The Hong Kong Laureate Forum (the Forum) aspires to be a world-class academic exchange event to connect the current and future leaders in scientific pursuit, as well as to foster understanding and interests of the young generation in Hong Kong and beyond across various disciplines in science and technology.
The Forum is fully sponsored by the Lee Shau Kee Foundation. Driven by a commitment to advance its mission far and wide, the Lee Shau Kee Foundation has, over the years, offered boundless support for education and talent development in Hong Kong, mainland China, and abroad. Additionally, the Foundation is dedicated to poverty relief and promoting social well-being, thereby benefiting countless individuals.
The Forum will invite the participation of recipients of our home-grown Shaw Prize. The Shaw Prize was established in 2002 to recognise advances and outstanding contributions in three disciplines, namely, Astronomy, Life Science and Medicine, and Mathdematical Sciences. In just two decades, the Shaw Prize has become a world-renowned award for the highest achievements in mankind. Indeed, among over 100 Shaw Laureates since 2004, many of them have subsequently been awarded other world-renowned international awards, including 16 Nobel Prize awardees, 10 Lasker Awards winners, 7 Fields Medallists and 4dfdafdafdad
