Statement of Purpose to Join the Forum (max. 200 words)

As an Occupational Therapy student who is curious about new scientific discoveries, as well as passionate about bringing new innovations to clinical services, I am eager to participate in The 2nd Hong Kong Laureate Forum which gathers world-leading scientists and like minded peers to exchange ideas and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration. Although my academic background is predominantly focused on the life science and medicine field, I believe diverse scientific disciplines are intercorrelated, and gaining insights from different fields is inspiring. The participation of Shaw Laureates in this forum will be most treasured and enlightening if I had the opportunity to listen to their sharing, understand and learn from their thinking framework, and get insights from them. In addition to meeting laureates, I would like to establish connections with other young scientists with various disciplines and cultures by knowledge exchange and social gatherings. Building rapports can create opportunities for scientific exploration and future collaboration, e.g. utilizing new technology in occupational therapy, which leads to mutual success.
